Deputies say Blackwell was banging on the front door, yelling, and alarming Cox and his family.

When officers arrived, Blackwell was seated in a vehicle in the driveway, where he continued to shout profanities and make threats toward the sheriff and the Calvert County Sheriff's Office.

During the encounter, deputies observed a knife in plain view inside the vehicle, and a second knife was found on Blackwell during a search, authorities noted.
